As others have said, if you want openness, then be bold and show openness yourself. We will not be making things more open by hiding ourselves.

So, all you are complaining about is things where you disagree with how money is being spent, and in one case you complain about a change you think was right? Now, I don't understand the latter at all, and don't have any knowledge about the story behind it. But the rest sounds like you think that community members are entitled to being paid for events and activities, which I heavily disagree with. I remember the early times of the Mozilla community, where I was happy to pay out of my own pocket for travel and a hotel just to be able to meet other Mozillians. And it was awesome. Nobody is entitled to get paid for anything in a project they volunteer for. After all, the definition of volunteering is completely distinct from being paid for doing something. Many of us want to meet up more often and be at more events with fellow Mozillians, I understand that. I even was pretty much "uninvited" from an event at some point due to project-political reasons and I remember how devastated I was. I still realized that if I would have been invited, it would have been a gift, and you don't shout at people and demand things from them just because you do not get a gift. You are not entitled to gifts, you should cheer for the few cases where you actually get any. Mozilla (that is us all in the community) has a lot of challenges and overwhelming competition and compared to those companies we are competing with, the non-profit organization that is Mozilla has a very tiny budget. I'm all for strengthening the community and recognizing volunteers as that's where we make the real difference to those commercial companies. But realize that we have a community that is larger than the amount of people we can *buy* gifts for and who we can invite to events on budget of the organization. And we want to grow this community even more, so getting something that needs money to pay for will be even more uncommon in the future as the budget doesn't magically grow as much as the community should. If we want Mozilla and its values to succeed, we need to be willing to spend way more value in time and work into it than we get back in gifts, budgets and paid-for event invitations. Also note that there's people who work their behinds off and try to do their best to make those things that the organizations spends as fair as possible - even though they surely make mistakes at times as well, just as every human does, and even that is OK. Virtually shouting at them and demanding things does not make those people more eager to work with you, the frustration it builds up might actually have the opposite effect - just put yourself into their position for a moment and think about that.

And let's please keep the dialog, open, civil, and in the proper paths to get to the best possible outcome and the least frustration for everyone.
