Mostly a philosophical point from a long-term Tb user and localizer. I find it ironically telling that, with all the good intentions, plans and features the Foundation has regarding privacy online etc this discussion is taking place on - Google Groups. With many a participant chipping in via addresses ending in ... @gmail.com. So we're all using a browser that respects our privacy to debate issues on a platform hosted by a data grabber second only to the NSA perhaps.
I'm not that technical and can't comment on issues of this code vs that code though the argument of separating Fx more from Tb seems to be persuasive. But I do think that it's a fallacy to believe that privacy and user control on the web can truly be achieved *just* through a browser and/or OS, no matter how good. _______________________________________________ governance mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/governance
