     *   Alfredo Tirado-Ramos

?: How about a bit of introductions to learn roles and such?
DC: We did some of that last week, and we'll do it at the Hackathon. Let's do
it by email as well.

Notes from last week are OK:

  * Notes for review RE: GPC dev, stds teleconference Weds Jan 15
9am<http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00008.html>
Dan Connolly Wed, 15 Jan 2014 09:19:23 -0800

Agenda:

  *   Agenda: gpc-dev (infrastructure, data standardization) Jan 21 11am
CT<http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00026.html>

was adjusted a bit during the call.

2. draft i2b2 model: plans/schedule
3. deploying ONC content standards in EMRs
discussed together

Feedback on Jim's worklist
proposal<http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00019.html>
of 16 Jan 2014 19:26:35 -0800 was that it's OK as far as it goes, but it's not
really clear how it works out in detail.
Alfredo: I routed the worklist internally. feedback isn't available yet.

JRC: there's still no announcement from PCORI about [national] data
standardization committee

JRC: I expect diagnoses, observables such as vitals to be early... driven by
obesity

Tom from Madison: is the grant text itself handy?
DC: yes, on the informatics.gpcnetwork.org home
page<http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/>:

  * The Greater Plains Collaborative (GPC)
proposal<http://frontiersresearch.org/frontiers/sites/default/files/frontiers/documents/GPC-PCORI-CDRN-Research-Plan-Template-KUMCv44.pdf>
 (PDF, 96 pages)

JRC: all 8 epic sites use IMO
Q: IMO is... what, exactly?

  *   Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc.<http://www.e-imo.com/>

JRC: they're a vendor that supplies mappings to SNOMED CT etc.

DC: we have to have national standards integrated into EHR workflow for later
prospective trial milestones, but for near-term cohort characterization, we can
do post-hoc terminology alignment, without changes to CLARITY
Wilson: this shouldn't involve any clinical workflow changes; just a back-end
table tweaks
JRC: putting the snomed mapping into effect should be a superficial change
DC: any change to what goes into CLARITY at KUH is beyond my control at this
point; not something I want to put between us and the April
milestone<http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/milestone/mcconaughy>.

4. patient, fact counts for i2b2 concepts at GPC sites

<http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/ticket/2>
#9)<http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/ticket/9>

All sites are welcome to use the concept submission
form<https://redcap.kumc.edu/surveys/?s=mpps4H>.
Several sites volunteer. which ones? missed.
DC offers prizes to the first three.

5. Epic Liaison: call @ 1pm today

6. AOB: study group contacts at each site

JC requesting updating of membership of groups
DC: PMO<http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/wiki/PMO> shows KUMC
staff assigned to facilitate each group. e.g. for breast cancer, Tamara McMahon
< [email protected]>

Request of more broad membership list
DC: yes, here's hoping. You're welcome to try putting the info in the wiki

6. AOB: PopMedNet

Establish PopMedNet
Infrastructure<http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/ticket/14>
huhickman

What is it, and how does it relate to our work?

Miller @ Marshfield explains his experience with popmednet...
 ... it's analagous to i2b2... cross-site query
... query is reviewed by a programmer
... any idea why we're using both i2b2 and popmednet?

DC: GPC chose i2b2 and proposed a REDCap-based technique for federation via
honest brokers. PCORI chose PopMedNet; it seems to take the place of REDCap.

One Central portal for GPC? or one for each of the 10 GPC sites?
not clear.

7. Future agenda requests: Standard Data Model 1.1, per-site i2b2 show and tell

JRC: I sent draft 1.1 ...
scribe can't find it.

JC: for next week, let's walk through slides on patient, ...

DC: I'm supposed to add i2b2 show and tell for each site to our agenda too.

DC: scribe for next week?
nebraska to take notes next week
DC: schedule for next week? Tue, 28 Jan, 11am. RESOLVED.

Wilson offers to review diagnoses section of data model 1.1
Jay @ Marshfield offers to review diagnoses section of data model 1.1
