Aaron, Dale, and Ashok,

Based on the experience Aaron reported in our 21 Jan teleconference, I suggest
Aaron write to the PCORI Data Standards, Security, and Network Infrastructure
task force
leads<http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00046.html> and
ask for details on how to "establish a node on the PCORnet technical
infrastructure".

Dale, in
#14<http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/ticket/14#comment:4>, you
suggested that "Each [GPC] site needs to install the PopMedNet software, or the
DataMart Client," but since then I heard from Russ that while popmednet is
required for exchange between CDRNs, it's not required within CDRNs, and other
CDRNs have alternative plans. In other words, I expect we'll need one popmednet
node for the GPC CDRN, not one for each GPC site.

In any case, we'll need to know how to connect to the PCORI-wide network, right?
