Open question to the list:

If you have been interviewing, or anticipate soon starting the interview process for your site's development team, what technical skills do you consider most important? Are there any specialists you anticipate needing besides traditional programmers?

What do you put in your job postings as absolute requirements, and what as optional or desirable qualifications? What kind of interview questions do you find especially helpful to making a hiring decision? If you're an academic institution, perhaps you cannot compete on salary alone with other employers, so what do you do to sell candidates on the idea of joining your team?

This isn't necessarily just aimed at those with final hiring authority. If you've been asked to sit in on an interview or review a job posting, that counts too.
