I'm not arguing for not supporting them; as I said, this is interesting stuff and I'm happy to see discussion of it. I'm just trying to get clarification on whether I need to track this design discussion and drive a group decision at this time.
PMH? Ah... past medical history. I didn't see anything about PMH and breast cancer in the meeting records. If anyone would like to expand on Jim's notes, I'd appreciate it. -- Dan ________________________________ From: Greater Plains Collaborative Software Development [[email protected]] on behalf of Miller, Aaron W [[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2014 5:00 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: modifier proposal from hackathon Hi Dan, To get clean and precise definition of these diseases we do ourselves a disservice by not including supporting modifiers. Though it is possible that the ALS arm does not need dx modifiers, there was extensive discussion specifically in regard to breast cancer of the utility of using PHM (in particular), which is one of the modifiers that are part of the list below. I don’t see this as a substantial hurdle to data folks at our sites, many of whom seem to have a working knowledge of what data are available.
