I now feel that we haven't delved deeply enough into Epic and NAACCR yet
to trust simulations of them, let alone a general purpose simulator like
originally proposed. Even I2B2 foils it right off the start because its
EAV tables violate the assumptions we originally had about pulling out
the relationships implicit in the data.
Really, all I originally needed was the I2B2 Star Schema data for
purposes of testing data extraction scripts. Turns out I've had success
just using the I2B2DEMODATA contents that come with I2B2 was adequate
for those purposes, and deidentified local data got us the rest of the way.
So this would be very useful, but it's not blocking progress on any of
the more urgent tasks. Can we give this a lower priority? If someone is
interested in taking this up, I can give them what we have so far.

What news on that work, Alex?
