There is dispensing data in Clarity from SureScripts (`med_dispense`) .
However, does every site integrate with SureScripts? My understanding
from JimC was that this table was populated on demand - when a provider
looks at the patient's information in Epic they have the option to look at
dispensing history. If they look, an external call is made to
populate/update this table at that time for that patient. UNMC has
8,000,000+ rows in this table- but it seems by definition it will be
incomplete data. For that data that is there there is NDC coding, a
date, dispensed amount, and supply.
Even if sites have this data, it does not change our previous discussions
about missing the wealth of inpatient/local outpatient data that may exist
for patients at our sites.
