Comment (by nateapathy):
Hey all - we are also trying to implement this at CMH and had some
questions around the deep/shallow execution in the GPC[PR]:Diagnoses
hierarchy on Babel. Specifically, a few suggestions around using the
"deep" hierarchy approach to it's fullest capacity.
@Hubert, I'd be interested in your take on the below items, if you've run
into issues.
For the "Billing Diagnosis - Discharge" folder, does it make more sense to
move the POA under each one of the "Billing Diagnosis - Discharge..."
terms? And to have a "Not POA" term in case users specifically want non-
POA diagnoses?
'''Suggested design:
'''
Billing Diagnosis - Discharge
Billing Diagnosis - Discharge Non-Primary
Billing Dx - Disch NP POA
Billing Dx - Disch NP Not POA
Billing Diagnosis - Discharge Primary
Billing Dx - Disch Primary POA
Billing Dx - Disch Primary Not POA
----
Also, since the modifiers below Encounter and Claims dxs are the same,
conceptually, we should structure them consistently. In the current state
on Babel, the same modifier concepts (admit vs. discharge and primacy) are
represented in two different ways.
'''Suggested Design:
'''
Encounter Diagnosis
Enc Dx - Admit
Enc Dx - Admit Primary
Enc Dx - Admit Non-Pri
Enc Ex - Disch
Enc Dx - Disch Primary
Enc Dx - Disch Non-Pri
Insurance Claims Diagnosis
Ins Claims Dx - Admit
I/C Dx - Admit Primary
I/C Dx - Admit Non-Pri
Ins Claims Dx - Disch
I/C Dx - Disch Primary
I/C Dx - Disch Non-Pri
