At today's body-weight working group call, I found out that in addition
to WISC, CMH and KUMC are also planning to rely on email addresses as
the preferred channel for patient contact. Any others?
At San Antonio, the only email field in Clarity we rely on is
PATIENT.EMAIL_ADDRESS. However, for pediatric patients at our site these
fields are often not populated (and remember, it's _not_ the patients,
it's _their parents__or guardians_ that your survey teams will be
contacting). We would like to accommodate your need for email addresses
if we can, but it would be helpful to get the following information from
you:
*If your site plans on using email addresses, can you please respond
with the names of the tables and columns where you plan to obtain them? *
When generating the local REDCap survey tracker table for your site, our
script selects the contact information corresponding to that listed in
the ACCOUNT table but falls back on other contacts if nothing has been
billed recently. If you are going to use an email address, you'll need
some way to make sure that it's the one that matches the selected
contact information (unless you're planning on not using any contact
methods at all except email). Thoughts?
