That's correct. SNOW is an acronym for SHRINE Network of Wisconsin. MCW, MCRF and UW stood up three skos:ConceptScheme instances inside the SHRINE web client (hosted on each spoke) and got all three spokes to pull obfuscated patient counts. We have one Windows spoke, and two Linux spokes, as well as our SNOW Linux hub which is hosted at UW. We chose this network topology for several reasons.
I can speak about technical architecture, on behalf of MCRF and MCW. Unfortunately I'll have to defer regulatory concerns or questions. -Keith From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Dan Connolly Sent: Monday, January 11, 2016 3:02 PM To: <[email protected]> Subject: SNOW and SHRINE update? While reviewing the HackathonThree<https://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/wiki/HackathonThree> agenda, Russ was reminded that we're getting more inquries where a quick SHRINE query would help a lot. I gather MCW, WISC, and MCRF are running a SHRINE network called SNOW. How is that going? What would it look like to extend it to other GPC sites? I expect both technical and regulatory issues are important. -- Dan
