Glad to discuss further at the Hacktahon, but my initial position is that we should/can pursue a global GPC SHRINE.
We are still working on technical and legal aspects (making SNOW data a subset of GPC data), but I can't see why the SHRINE should/could not be extended. Asking MCRF and MCW to chime in. Hi Umberto, Tom, Bob, and Brad, We have blocks at the hackathon to discuss how your state has led our network in adopting SHRINE. On the dev call today we were seeking feedback from Keith and Laurel on how it was going and if might make sense now to extend to GPC broadly. Keith gave it a thumbs up but Laurel and him didn't have a real sense of how far you all had kicked the tires with research feasibility requests. Governance-wise, the GPC data sharing agreement allows this and explicitly calls out SHRINE as a solution to our feasibility prep to research counts and activities. Now nationally, I hope to work with the Data Committee to potentially create a master agreement which might let us SHRINE with other i2b2 using sites. We will also discuss this at the meeting but I don't want that to derail good work in our network led by your sites. So, how's it gone? - Are things working largely as expected with some minor hiccups and GPC should proceed with SHRINE? - Or did you experience major issues that would recommend against advancing SHRINE? Once we know that we can discuss how best to host as to me it might make the most cost-effective to give credit where it is due and have GPC use SNOW and be snowbirds, Russ Waitman, PhD Director of Medical Informatics Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enterprise Analytics Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas 913-945-7087 (office) [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> http://www.kumc.edu/ea-mi/ http://informatics.kumc.edu <http://informatics.kumc.edu/> http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org <http://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/> - a PCORnet collaborative
