Based our least-recently-scribed
list<https://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/ticket/12#comment:97>, I
nominate UNMC to scribe tomorrow. How about it?
Or if IU or UTHSCSA would do it, let me know.

I still hope to "finish" this, but I don't think it's currently blocking
anyone's work.

I followed your Heron naaccr load
scripts<https://informatics.gpcnetwork.org/trac/Project/wiki/NAACCR_ETL> and
noticed that several of the resulting OBSERVATION_FACT.START_DATE values where
null. The cases that I checked made sense as they were related to demographics
and not necessarily an event. However, START_DATE is one of the 7 Primary Key
fields and Oracle doesn?t support null values in a PK field. How do you guys
typically handle that? Do you just default the start date or set it to some
constant value when it?s null? (We generally use the Patient Dimension for
demographics.)
We don't get any null start_dates using this code. For most observations,
including demographics, the code populates start_date from ne."Date of
Diagnosis". Every record in our NAACCR file has date of diagnosis populated.
For reference: the relevant code was written March 2012
(763e47f<https://github.com/kumc-bmi/heron/commit/763e47ffa17e0167ef1ade9949fcb89d282e2553>)
