Good Morning Dan:
The email below contains information about retaining ‘old’ or ‘v1’ datamart
data for ongoing queries related to the Bariatric Surgery Study. This
information has been distributed by a few different means…but, we wanted to
guarantee the Dev Team is aware of the issue.
After speaking with Jim McClay, he believes the issue will have wider
ramifications than just the bariatric study. He would like to add this topic
to the agenda for the next Dev Call.
Thank you,
Russ

Subject: [pbs-pm] RE: PCORnet Bariatric Study Queries – DataMart Version to Use

Hi PIs and PMs,
We just met with our analytic team. They asked that I send a follow-up email to
clarify that the PBS especially needs DMs that responded to the Aim 1 query to
maintain a copy of the Aim 1 data. The Aim 1 aggregate level query will need
to be run against these same data.
Please let me know if you have questions.
Best,
Jane

Subject: PCORnet Bariatric Study Queries – DataMart Version to Use

Hello Bariatric PIs and PMs:
I’m writing to clarify which instance of the CDM should be used to respond to
the PBS queries. The DRN OC is in the middle of Cycle 2 of data
characterization (DC) – due date is 12/16. However, the PBS will proceed with
running queries against the Cycle 1 data. We need PBS DataMarts to retain Cycle
1 data for future queries. Specifically:

· Wave 2 SSDC – scheduled for release week of 11/28/2016 (anticipated
due date 12/12/16)

· Aim 1 aggregate pull – scheduled for release early 2017
There may be cases where using Cycle 2 data is preferred (e.g., lab or
prescription data are available only in Cycle 2 data). If you think this may be
the case with a DM in your CDRN, please email me.
Please share this information with the participating DMs at your CDRN.
Thank you,
Jane
