Dan,
Thanks for sharing REDCap API information. It is valuable.
Currently, we are finishing up integrating SMS texting engine (custom coding +
hardware based) with REDCap using REDCap API. This module will be able to send
SMS text alert messages to mobile phones based on pre-defined conditions. Down
the road, we will share the code. Thanks.

Ashok

Subject: REDCap API usage

Hi Ashok,

In your
HackathonFour<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__informatics.gpcnetwork.org_trac_Project_wiki_HackathonFour&d=DwMFAw&c=ZukO2fIan9e5E9v43wuy1w&r=Ha7GAPZjKBBhYH0tHjX8dH-7_vTzWm_FjMiPjBuubw8&m=moPNWqdExPUYll8Qn0EgeZyOTIWO1_-JZDRy4cfog8I&s=u3WRGk-xxR8xqLVjrs3rTyc_v7loPiYAgmDFmfQS1ic&e=>
 registration, I see:
Have you ever used REDCap API for any of your projects, if so, how and where?
I don't see any particular reason this question should wait for the in-person
meeting.

Yes, we (KUMC) routinely use the REDCap API in our data delivery process to
upload more data than the import web UI can conveniently accommodate. The code
is
redcap_upload.py<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__bitbucket.org_gpcnetwork_heron-5Fextract_src_332907d92dbe12ff3b87e942d1b13666fa31cfeb_cdr2edc_redcap-5Fupload.py-3Fat-3Donejar-5Fgroovy-5Fg355-26fileviewer-3Dfile-2Dview-2Ddefault&d=DwMFAw&c=ZukO2fIan9e5E9v43wuy1w&r=Ha7GAPZjKBBhYH0tHjX8dH-7_vTzWm_FjMiPjBuubw8&m=moPNWqdExPUYll8Qn0EgeZyOTIWO1_-JZDRy4cfog8I&s=21_2mSE6DVp6SKcSDYBPtriGpaR_ZEFfzPwGYLA8KDQ&e=>
(well, that's somewhat cleaned up w.r.t. the one we're actually using in
production). See also Data Delivery via REDCap
slide<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__docs.google.com_presentation_d_1FtTUcQbqAwVTecC3vttLqO-2DB5ZsyQuwHrQotlv8LAaI_edit-23slide-3Did.g198e608115-5F0-5F119&d=DwMFAw&c=ZukO2fIan9e5E9v43wuy1w&r=Ha7GAPZjKBBhYH0tHjX8dH-7_vTzWm_FjMiPjBuubw8&m=moPNWqdExPUYll8Qn0EgeZyOTIWO1_-JZDRy4cfog8I&s=FE5uTsTjnk5cCsVfH7Uo0wzfCzbeMVhf2et4F048OoM&e=>
 from a meeting we recently had with interested people from Mayo and other
places coming out of the recent REDCap conference.

We also use a customized version of the REDCap API to check that i2b2 users are
authorized. FWIW, the code is
redcap_connect.py<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__informatics.kumc.edu_work_browser_raven-2Dj_heron-5Fwsgi_admin-5Flib_redcap-5Fconnect.py&d=DwMFAw&c=ZukO2fIan9e5E9v43wuy1w&r=Ha7GAPZjKBBhYH0tHjX8dH-7_vTzWm_FjMiPjBuubw8&m=moPNWqdExPUYll8Qn0EgeZyOTIWO1_-JZDRy4cfog8I&s=uy2PtmzoQUUWy4BoP7z9dy6hII5HFEXppDxVR-xOu20&e=>
