Maybe something like that would work. Perhaps you could elaborate? I don't have a clear picture of what you have in mind. Sound coverage in which direction? From speakers in the room to remote participants or vice-versa? Do you mean unmuting when someone near them is talking? Otherwise it seems that everyone would have to be running GTM audio on their machine.
Doing audio stuff from multiple places in one room is a dark art, in my experience. Microphones and sound boards don't command the prices they do for no reason. Perhaps it would suffice to have GTM VOIP running on a machine at the podium and put some effort into having the speaker repeat questions and for conversations elsewhere in the room, transcribing / summarizing into chat or google docs. -- Dan ________________________________ From: Campbell, James R [[email protected]] Sent: Monday, January 16, 2017 1:19 PM To: Dan Connolly; Russ Waitman Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: hackathon 4 I am sorry to hear that Dan. Do you suppose we could use the GTM VOIP and then designate several participants within the room to spread out sound coverage, unmuting when they are talking? Jim
