Planned use: Grifols is considering development of a study among Myasthenia
Gravis patients and is interested in partnering with PCORnet to characterize
medication prescribing in pediatric/adult populations and to determine
feasibility of using PCORnet for this future study.
Results of this PTR query will be provided to the requester at the
DataMart-level. Only PCORnet-level aggregated data may be presented or
published on public-facing websites (e.g. PCORnet.org) and in a manuscript
describing Myasthenia Gravis cohorts in PCORnet. Responding to this query is
acknowledgement that a) you are interested in potentially collaborating in the
study and would like to be engaged further in development, and b) that your
data can be aggregated into a PCORnet-level report for public-facing venues.
CC may reuse Network and CDRN level aggregate data for internal planning and to
inform potential funding and research opportunities.
Package Contents: 1 work plan and 4 folders serving to organize program inputs
and outputs. Program folder structure described in work plan Section 5.

Query Request: This query request will identify the following counts of unique
patients age 0-65+ with:
• Mgrav: a diagnosis code for myasthenia gravis in the query period (1/1/2012
- 6/30/2017)
• Mgrav_IP: a diagnosis code for myasthenia gravis in the query period
(1/1/2012 -6/30/2017) restricted to inpatient encounters.
• Mgrav_Med: a diagnosis code for myasthenia gravis in the query period
(1/1/2012 -6/30/2017) restricted to inpatient encounters AND a medication of
interest (defined as a procedure OR RXCUI code for medications of interest,
restricted to inpatient encounters) in the same period.
Query Period: 1/1/2012 -6/30/2017
Counts will be stratified by age, sex, race, and Hispanic. Query will execute
against SAS tables (demographic, encounter, diagnosis, procedure, prescribing)
in PCORnet CDM v3.0 or v3.1 format. Scenarios will produce aggregate output.

Note: the following log warning may be encountered upon query exection:
WARNING: Variable FIncDt has different lengths on BASE and DATA files (BASE 4
DATA 8) as a result of recent data updates. Please note that this log warning
does not impact the validity of query results. This warning will be addressed
in furture versions of the program.
DataMarts should choose to either (1) return output; (2) hold the query and
enter a note as to why the query is on hold; or (3) reject the query and enter
a note as to why the query is rejected.
Follow internal governance/policy for returning query output to CC.
Output: 1 SAS program will process 1 run & generate a total of 15-16 output
