Subject: PCORI Table 1 - Re-issue (PCORI_PMP_WP002)

Dear PCORnet Colleagues,
NOTE: The PCORI Table 1 re-issue query will be distributed on April 26th and
responses will be due May 7th - this is a 7 BD turn-around to support
presentation of this network descriptive information in aggregate to the PCORI
Board of Governors. If there are any questions, please reach out ASAP to
q...@pcornet.org<mailto:q...@pcornet.org>.

The Query Fulfillment and Analytics team is pleased to announce the release of
the PCORI Table 1-Reissue Query (pcori_pmp_wp002), using PCORnet Modular
Program (PMP), Baseline and Vital table modules. This query was requested by
PCORI and will produce patient counts for the conditions of interest, as well
as, demographic and vital descriptive analytics for these cohorts during the
specified query periods.

Description of Query Request:

Run 1 of this request will count unique patients age 0-75+ with two diagnosis
records in the query period (July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018) separated by a
minimum of 60 days.

Run 2 of this request will count unique patients age 0-75+ with two diagnosis
records in the query period (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2018) separated by a
minimum of 365 days.

Run 3 of this request will count unique patients age 0-75+ with two diagnosis
records in the query period (July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018) separated by a
minimum of 730 days.

Run 4 of this request will count unique patients age 0-75+ with diagnosis
records in the query period (July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018) for Alzheimer’s,
Asthma, Anxiety, Breast Cancer, Heart Failure and Heart Failure with Diabetes
cohorts and will perform descriptive baseline and vitals analytics to further
characterize these cohorts.

  * Counts will be stratified by age group, sex, race, ethnicity. Query will
execute against SAS tables (demographic, encounter, diagnosis, and vital) in
PCORnet CDM v4.1 format.
  * Only aggregate output will be produced.
  * Patients may contribute to more than one of the above cohorts. This query
request will consist of 4 runs contained within a single SAS package, and the
programs will generate summary output reports to assist in ease of review and
to support site governance policies. The full work plan and metadata are
available here: https://pcornet.imeetcentral.com/p/ZgAAAAAAsu_q

Who is the requester?
PCORI

How will the results be used?
The requestor is interested in reporting numbers from across the network to
examine patients with specific conditions during the specified query periods.
DataMart (DM) -level results will be provided to the requester for this
purpose. They acknowledge that they must obtain permission from each partner
before providing DM-level counts in any format.

PCORnet-level aggregated data can be presented or published on public-facing
websites (e.g. PCORnet.org), in a manuscript, and/or used in marketing
materials describing these populations in PCORnet. DM response to this query is
acknowledgement that data can be aggregated into a PCORnet-level report for
public-facing venues.

The CC may reuse network aggregate and DM-level data for internal planning and
to inform potential funding and research opportunities.

For data quality improvement, DM-level results can be posted to a CRN PI-only
space on iMeet.

Who is eligible to receive this query?
All 2.0 CRN & HPRN DMs that have been approved on either Cycle 4 or 5 of Data
Curation (full tracker available
here<https://pcornet.imeetcentral.com/p/aQAAAAAC5cuA>) will receive the queries
for the opportunity to respond.

What is the query distribution date and response due date?
Query will be distributed to all 2.0 CRN & HPRN DMs on April 26, 2019.
Responses are due on May 7, 2019.

Query distribution
The query will be distributed via PopMedNet (PMN). An email notification will
be sent to the DataMart Administrator via PMN and any other users with enabled
notifications when the queries are distributed. Detailed instructions for query
execution can be found in the work plan document.

With questions, please contact the Query Fulfillment and Analytics team at
q...@pcornet.org<mailto:q...@pcornet.org>

For any questions related to PMN or the PMN DataMart Client, please contact the
PMN team usingService
Desk<https://popmednet.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1>.

Sincerely,
The Query Fulfillment and Analytics Team
