UNMC is preparing a grant submission to NCI for standardization of data
encoding for synoptic cancer reports. We will be implementing standard
SNOMED CT in CAP Cancer Protocol datasets. The Cancer Protocols will be
deployed into pathologist workflow by implementing eCC (electronic
checksheet format) into the pathology system. Epic Beaker and Cerner
COPATH both support eCC workflow deployment. UNMC will be offering
contract funding within the grant collaborators whose pathology
departments agree to implement and use the Cancer Protocols in recording
new cases of cancer. Any GPC or affiliate sites who may have interest in
this collaboration should contact Jim (campb...@unmc.edu) or Scott
(wcamp...@unmc.edu) for discussion. Deadline for grant submission is June
11.
