Hi Jim,

Attached is the code that we use to build SAS flat files from SQL server.

Steff noted that there are a few "time" fields that we do not fill (as we don't
capture the data), which may automatically get set to "0000" in this code. If
you use our SAS program as reference, keep an eye on the time fields and
overall output.

Hope this helps? I know the turnaround time is tight...

Thanks,
Laurel

Subject: [EXTERNAL] HELP on Loading MS SQL dates to SAS datasets for CDMV41
tables

We are struggling to format our SAS datasets from the CDMV41 tables we have
built and recently converted to MS SQL. The inbound dates from MS SQL end up
as SAS Numeric 'DATE9' format which does not match the format we had employed
before. Our date formatting code converts everything to '19600101' Has
anybody identified the SAS code to yield the format which Duke likes? This was
'YYMMDDN8' when we brought in the data from Oracle.
