Sorry, my previous message sent as encrypted. This is an FYI in case anybody is not already on the distribution:
There is updated guidance on defining the COVID-19 CDMs. There is a large list of diagnosis codes and lab codes that are being requested to add to your inclusion criteria for this cohort. This could add a significant number of patients to your datamarts if you did not already plan on refreshing the full CDM weekly(ish). Contact your datamart administrators or PMs on the distribution below if you did not receive the attachments. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. PIs, PMs, and Datamart administrators, 1. We are broadening the criteria for the patients that should be included in the mini-CDM. Our goal is to capture as many potential cases as possible and then allow the query to discern the positives. That way, we won’t have to frequently go back to sites to adjust the filtering criteria and can instead update the query centrally as the COVID-19 case definition changes. The attached spreadsheet includes additional diagnosis and lab codes, updated based on SC discussions and subsequent conversations with several sites. Please note that sites are free to use inclusion criteria that goes beyond this list. This is meant to serve as a set of minimum criteria. In fact, sites may find it easier to simply include all patients with a visit on/after 1/1/2020 instead of creating a filter based on these codes. 2. We are working with the CDC to provide a letter that covers all PCORnet institutions to provide data not subject to the Common Rule given this public health emergency. This will allow the CC to provide PCORnet data to the CDC that includes low cell counts without requiring additional agreements with the CDC. 3. We are asking sites to continue to update the https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__pcornet.imeetcentral.com_p_aQAAAAAEGgIH&d=DwMFaQ&c=KNVzINr6WAqWApikNSnyDeOu0ck0iFwcrMz92MxUhIs&r=jR03P-FJN_ziEDYJA7NQy37B2nAPW3c8JLxfnw7iRdw&m=uLClu6l2pMq2lzWvGL-Tm9loMf3L0j4x4Et2tcU9MDs&s=cRrAfC5_j-z8uDpZVU1I1jgGfpZnU9H__xnfIel7wys&e= to better plan for query distribution.
