Hi, all,

As Susan mentioned in the dev-call today, there were some bugs in the SAS codes
I sent out last night. Thanks to her help and Kris’s testing, I’m sharing this
revised SAS script for you to run. These new codes have also been updated in
the original GPC DROC request.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Song

Hi, all,

If you have already fulfilled the request and haven’t received any follow-up
inquiry from me, please ignore this message! If you haven’t run the query by
today (08/03), please run the revised scripts which can be downloaded either
from the DROC survey or from this email. Since these changes are made two days
before the original deadline, we would like to extend the request for another
week (due 08/13).

Please let me know if you have any questions! We really appreciate your support!

Hi, All,

Thanks to Susan Rea’s share, now we have the SAS extraction codes added to DROC
request #81! I have modified Request
#81<https://redcap.kumc.edu/redcap_v9.5.25/DataEntry/index.php?pid=16659&id=81&event_id=44812&page=gpc_droc_oversight_request>
with a zip file containing both SQL and SAS codes. Hope it would provide more
flexibility for sites to collect the prelim counts.

Again, thank you, Susan, for sharing the codes with us all!

Please let me know if you have any questions! We really appreciate your support!

Hi Song,

Let’s modify the droc and then can send a notification to the gpc-droc and
gpc-dev listserv for them to review the REDCap to pull the new code.

Thanks,
Maren

Sounds good. I will try to get the SAS query developed no later than Thursday.

A quick question: once I have the SAS query ready, do I go back modifying the
DROC request or should I just send it out to sites?

Hi Song,

I know we’ve heard from MU, MCRF, and Intermountain. If you develop the SAS we
can distribute to everyone and let sites choose.

Thanks,
Maren

Hi, Steffani,

Thank you for reaching out! Yes. I think I can develop an equivalent SAS script
for the summary extraction. However, as I’m more fluent with SQL then SAS, I
submitted the request with SQL so that sites with SQL capability or preference
can run it first. I will try to get the SAS script out in 1 or 2 days.

Maren - May I know which are the sites that prefer SAS scripts and which prefer
SQL?

Hi Steffani,

I’m including Dr. Song who wrote the code.

Song – several sites prefer code being shared in SAS instead of SQL. Are you
able to provide the code in SAS instead?

Thanks,

Hi Maren,

Do you know if there are plans to distribute code that hits the CDM tables
using SAS? Or are sites expected to rewrite this to work in whatever
environment they use?

Thanks,
