Looking at about a group or 20. Any questions, concerns, or ideas about the LEC? Q: Has anything been sent to patients? A: Might be best for site PE Offices to reach out to their patients, provide agenda, etc. and discuss. Other thoughts or suggestions? - Might be good for GPC Central to reach out with a welcome so that they feel part of the group? A: We are planning on a note to leave them at the hotel, but thought the agenda might be a bit overwhelming at that point. What is the actual street address for the conference center? Kauffman Foundation Conference Center 4801 Rockhill Road Kansas City, MO 64110 (816) 932-1000 Where is the LEC within the conference center? The Kauffman Foundation Conference Center is one floor, with one main entrance. When you enter, it will be clear which rooms will house the conference. How far is it between hotels and the conference center? Full details, including maps with walking routes on GPC LEC event page: http://www.gpcnetwork.org/?q=LEK2015 * For those staying at the Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza (4445 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64111), the meeting center is .9 miles from this hotel. * For those staying at the Raphael Hotel (325 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri 64112), the meeting center is .8 miles away * For those staying at the Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza (One East 45th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64111), the meeting center is .8 miles away. GPC Central has arranged for three 15 passenger vans to transport people. There will be one making loops between each of the hotels and the conference center before and after meetings on Thursday and before meetings on Friday. We will have this same set-up for transportation to and from dinner on Thursday. Everyone will receive a folder upon check-in at their hotel room which will contain a map with walking directions from their hotel to the center along with instructions for using the shuttles Can we bring our luggage with us on Friday after we check out from the hotel? Yes, you can bring your luggage to the Conference Center on Friday. We will have a secure place for storage. How is return transportation from the airport being organized? UPDATED FROM THE CALL: Hillary from GPC Central can assist with making arrangements for transportation back to the airport. She will provide a list of all departures so that people may join up and carpool back to the airport. Once folks figure out what time they'd like to leave (and we're happy to assist in estimating how much time you should allow based on rush hour, etc), Hillary can reserve a cab. Are there any expectations of the PE officers on how to prepare? No, none. This is a new slate of PE officers. We want to make this a low-expectations and low-anxiety event.
