Hi everyone,

We know things will be a bit hit-and-miss from now through the end of the year
with holidays etc., so here's the first in what we hope to be regular "Friday
Footnotes" that we discussed at the LEC.

First, I'd love it if anyone has information or insights to share from their
own backyards to do so -- please forward info, ideas, innovations, anything you
think is relevant and could be useful to others to Sarah and she, Cheryl and/or
I will make sure to distribute through Friday Footnotes to the group.

Second, please don't feel you need to reply (nor to reply "all") on anything in
Friday Footnotes. I know how filled your inboxes can be, so I don't want this
to contribute to overload! If there's something that anyone at "GPC central"
can assist with, Sarah and I are ready to assist, so just let us know. Send us
a separate email or give us a call (Kim is at
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> and 913-588-1949; Sarah is at
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> and 913-945-9137).

Finally, Friday Footnotes is designed to be a very short, quick synopsis of
engagement-relevant issues or taskers that come up from the overall work of the
GPC. For items of work that are specific to our group, we'll continue to
communicate those through our standing calls and through dedicated,
subject-line-specific emails.

Thanks to you all, and feedback is MORE than welcome!

From Kim, Cheryl and Sarah

FRIDAY FOOTNOTES

1. Information about the LEC and next steps you need to be aware of:

· GPC leadership is asking for there to be LEC debriefs with the local
teams - having time together with your local team is very valuable and
encouraged!

· GPC central expects report back via Project Management call 11.13.15
or 12.9.15:

o The goal is to identify major themes

o Suggestions for the next LEC

o Hear about any action items developed at your site

o How can we help the sites and keep the spirit going through the year?

· Everyone enjoyed Jim McClay’s participation in the Mock Project
Orchestration meeting – this was mentioned multiple times as being very
valuable. We would add a shout out that everyone's participation was stellar
and illuminating -- learning how each group sees research from their
perspective makes us all appreciate the entire "it takes a village" effort!

2. We will be sending out the revised 1 pager seeking participants for an
overall patient/community advisory council for the GPC for your review soon.
This will be on our next GPC-engagement call agenda.

3. The monthly call for November is officially moved to Nov 18 (originally
scheduled for Nov 25), still 2-3pm with the same dial-in and log-on info. The
change was updated via the Outlook appointment. We WILL use the online feature
of Go To Meeting for the call Nov 18.

4. Apologies for the spam that sometimes gets through the listserv filters
(e.g. the Interfax message on 11/6 in the early morning)! This has been a bit
of a problem for all of the GPC listservs and we are adjusting spam filters and
working with KUMC internet security to resolve this. Please use caution when
opening emails and thanks for your patience.

Have a great weekend!
