Hi all,
Iโ€™m attaching our Epic InBasket message template for PCP engagement prior to an
email/letter blast. Deandra, can you make sure that Dr. Supiano gets a copy of
this, please?

I have one correction to our process notes below. We request identified data
from the IRB, not de-identified. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Best,
Kris

Good afternoon,

Below are highlights from GPC PREVENTABLE CRN meeting today.

Please see the attached GPC CRN PREVENTABLE update slides.

University of Missouri

  * Enrolled first patient with the potential of two more patients this week.
  * Working through IRB issues with patient letters and EMR messaging.

University of Kansas Medical Center

  * Duke reached out to Dr. Grdinovac for KUMC to be involved in Hawthorne
pilot.
  * Enrollment goal is 5 patients per week.
  * Hawthorne pilot โ€“ This is an in-home patient enrollment pilot that will
be used as a way eliminate the need for a hospital/provider visit in the event
of that it becomes difficult for a patient to continue to participate in the
study.
  * Note from Mark that we hope to have more in-person enrollment and enhance
the ability to conduct a short physical performance battery as part of the
study.

University of Texas โ€“ Houston

  * Mark has reached out to Dr. Jessica Lee (PI) at UT Houston to assist.
Dr. Lee is ready to begin once contracting/IRB is completed.
  * Elmer Bernstam is the Co-I at Houston and happy to help in any way
necessary.
  * Duke update: Working on contracting and need IRB reliance.

University of Utah

  * Great job with additional enrollments
  * Utah may have difficult in sending a direct email to patients and needs
further discussion.
  * Better recruitment when providers speak to patients about the study

MCW

  *   Workflow

     *   Run i2b2 cohort query
     * Get de-identified information from IRB
     *   Determine target letter date
     * Provide lists of potential recruits to PCP for review and opt out. If
they donโ€™t hear from the PCP, they assume the patient list is acceptable.
     * Push letters or emails to patients

  * Kris Osinski will review internally for approval and then provide
template that is sent to PCP to group
  * Dr. Whittle has done mini-educational seminars.
  * This is not directly tied to upcoming patient appointments.

UT San Antonio

  * Question on how many emails/letters being pushed.
  * MCW will be pushing 2k this week
  * Pushing 700 every three weeks.
  * Typically there is a 3-4 week turn around in recruitment results
  * PREVENTABLE will be featured on a local news station.

Mark will be speaking at the all sites meeting.

Next GPC PREVENTABLE CRN meeting is on April 13th at 11:30 pm CST.

Best regards,

Deandra
