No I was talking re an _encrypted_ plain email with no attachments, which is decrypted at my end. I thought perhaps say a Physio may fire off a quick encrypted email to me (I'm hoping at least!) Before it happens, I thought I'd try to work out a way of dealing with this if it occurs. Thunderbird and Locum can work together with encrypted Word and rtf attachments. I have a procedure to strip the attachments from the email, convert them to HTML then file them in the EMR as an external document. This procedure would not work for a plain encrypted email.
As I said previously we use locum which is, what you might say is challenging, to get electronic communication and the EMR working together.
