Thank you Cedric and Alan for your explanations, I think I understand a bit better now. At the risk of offending all members of the forum, the one that favour this or that product, here is a comment. It appears that MD3 & BP both need to be installed on each machine that is going to be interacting with data in the practice. This is NOT different from the old MD2 in both MD3 & BP (except for the DBF versus Sql stuff). So, if one takes out the Sql backend for a moment, what is in essence the real differences between MD2, MD3 & BP?. Or is it just the Sql bit prominently displayed on product advertising?
