Certainly as of the present the scope of the project - which has had many name changes - in no way covers the needs of general practice.

Has not helped much - really the GP community needs something that works better than MD and which is stable and reliable and available. openEHR does not look like providing tat any time soon.
Lastly - the key concern is the maintenance and version control of the proposed archetypes. Until infrastructure that manages this exists the core concept of a long lived record does not seem in any way realistic or probable.
