I use MS Fax in XP and 2000. Prior to that I used Winfax. I have practices using MS Fax across the practice - two GPs and front desk - by sharing the folders on the server where the messages are stored.

SBS 2003 with Exchange, which is what you probably have, sends the confirmation E-mail out to clients as it designed for many users. I just look in the My Faxes folder for the record of my sent and received faxes, and the transmission dialogue tells me if its gone or not.

Your solution is more sophisticated, but a lot dearer.

Greg, thanks for this info. As Dave Hughes the comedian once said, I'm a busy man. I would forget to check the transmission log file or 'sent' file of MS Fax. I find it very helpful, with the system that we are using, that an email appears in my email in box as soon as the fate of the fax is known. I suppose that this system may not help people who rarely check their email, but like, I suspect, many or most others on this list, I check my email many times daily, so for me the email notification about sent faxes works very well. It's funny how an apparently small thing like this can be so important to a user.
