This suggestion has been made to them since before they were even officially announced (NEHTA, that is), and has been ignored since then too. What they have is some academics/theoreticians with good ideas, some Industry people, some politicians and political cronies, some bureaucrats, some hospital IT people, some "committee floaters" - but no grassroots hands on info techies who actually *do* things instead of merely talking things. They don't understand collaborative technological communities, they don't understand the needs of grassroots doctors (e.g. GPs), they don't understand the concept of "long term value for taxpayers money", they have no real input from either.
