Stephen,
what I did
1. Create an OpenOffice document, paste a hyperlink into it, save as rtf
2. Open the rtf in notepad to preserve the control codes
3. Convert to pit (I used our vbscript converter but David G's pitifil
is easier to install and use)
4. Import to MD
I have had a bit more experimentation and managed to reduce the control
coding to what is close to the minimum (see attached)
You can play with some of the codes to specify whether to underline the
link, its colour etc.
You can download the full rtf specs at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e5b8ebc2-6ad6-49f0-8c90-e4f763e3f04f&DisplayLang=en
- look in the field code section
All you have to do now is to generate the control codes programmatically
when you create the pit file.
regards
Tony
