Peter

I find your posts very very confusing. You first write: "As I am not
allowed into the MD forums, allow me to ask here:

What has happened to the error log manager? Crashes tell you it's in
MD Maintenance but I can't find it in there".

Then you subsequently make another post and praise the support you get from
HCN:

"Compared to any system using a modern database engine other than
Microsoft's, the MD3 or Pracsoft 3 installation is like pulling
teeth, but with the now very good support we are getting from HCN we
are getting the installs done well, including two huge conversions
over the weekend. The upgrade on one database of just over 2GB, with
minimal binary data took over 14 hours on a 2GHz+ AMD box running
full MSSQL server.

ManageEzy (Redmap) is terrible but apparently HCN know this and are
planning to replace it. It hard codes internal links and needs to be
manually massaged if you change hostname, volume name or path of the
data. Which means automated backup and restore or a hot spare server
is going to be very difficult to achieve.

I am going to attempt to solve this by always referencing the data
from a network share, but this introduces another point of failure
(and will require a host name change on a backup server prior to
documents being available) so it's less than ideal"

Surely if tech support so good why not simply ask them the question and if
you are helping people install MD3 surely you should get access to the forum
?
Also when are they replacing Redmap ?
