I have just had a look at the AMH web site and selected the $145.00 pda package - nothing upfront about the minimum subscription.  When you click on the checkout button, it gives you a scrollable box which is headed "Conditions governing access to and use of this web site".  If you scroll down about 10 pages there is another section entitled "SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS".  In this section, they mention the minimum term.   You have to agree or disagree beneath this box.

I would think that any court in the land would laugh this out of court - its absolutely outrageous and probably contravenes a number of consumer laws.  If it was me I would tell them where to stick it.

Word of advice to those of you who use the pAMH on your PDAs – read the fine print. I thought that I purchased a once off subscription. Seems that I’m locked into a 3 year contract and unless I specifically cancel it after that they will continue to bill you

Dear Thinus

Unfortunately under the subscription terms and conditions you agreed to when ordering over the website, the minimum subscription term is 3 years or $360.00. I have attached a copy for your reference. If you wish to cancel your subscription after the that time you will need to advise us in writing.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards
