We live in a world full of claims and marketing hype,
but only those with lotsa technical knowledge and
working in the game really know the answer to your
question.

I can only say that my son Dave and his mate Alan
chose Object as their first choice of employment, and
have been on their staff since Feb '05.

They say that Object is a fully Australian software
development company, and whilst small in numbers
with 200-300 developers compared to India's Infosys
with 60,000 developers, they are actually "big" for
an Australian software development company.

Object is eagerly sought by the top graduates with
the best IT degrees, and their team comprises the
creme de la creme.

Object does have an interest in software development
for the medical industry, and do have a product being
used in the marketplace (I think it is being used in some
Tasmanian hospitals and 1 Victorian hospital) .
Moreover, they are happy to develop further open source
solutions - but their expertise is coding not implementation
or helpdesk support.

My observations are that taxpayers would get much
more value by providing funds directly for software
development than burning up these funds on talkfests.
And my inside information is that Object are the top
guns.
