If there is no scarcity (and at least within OECD countries there is

is more of everything than you can use, and you can have what you want, no
point any more clinging to things.
And once you leave this planet either physically or by moving into virtual
reality, there is not even scarcity of "real estate" any more - anybody
could have the "place with a view" they desire.
If people would learn to think ahead and work towards that goal - that alone
would already reduce crime dramatically because many would recognize how
utterly pointless it is.
