Last night I was processing several hundred PDF faxes, all open at once. I
accidentally hit the expose button. The virtual memory allocation exploded
while the system tried to figure out what 500 miniature faxes looked like on
48 inches of screen.

I went out and had dinner, came back and it had finished it's patchwork.
When I got home, I found my Wintel box trying to hang itself with an
Ethernet cable from the ceiling fan.

Yeah, I use my left hand on the shortcut, and mouse click on the desktop a
microsecond before. I try to avoid installing too much macro software, as OS
updates tend to break it which invariably means a patch, which invariable
means more time offsetting the gains from the macro. Suppose it would vary
between users.
