OK but would you want the GP system to interrogate the Web Server at the
path company because the GP system doesnt have a Web Server/application
server to which the path company can 'push' a result? And if so, what
path providers would you interrogate? (considering that a result may be
waiting for you as a cc from a path provider to whom you dont refer)
And if pathology is required to 'push' results to GPs, are all GPs
capable of having a Web Server/application server on their system and
available on a fixed IP address so they can find you?
And if you allow the use of dynamic IP addresses, how will the path
company find you? Yep, there will need to be a central or replicated
infrastructure to keep a track of everyones' changing IP addresses. And
so the infrastructure is dependent upon some sort of central infrastructure.
