Guess what, we in Division land are waiting for a DOHA decision about
DNIMP.

please explain

John,

DNIMP, or Divisions Network IM Project is the funding program that will require Divisions to return probably de-identified patient-level data to ADGP. There has been some press about this in Ozdoc.

How we will do this, what protocols will need to be followed, etc., has been the subject of a nationwide consultation process and we are now waiting for the decision from DOHA about the final shape of it all.

The importance for Divisions is that we are required to be providing this sort of data by 2008 under our reporting/funding framework. None of us know how yet, what technology or what resources we'll need to have to do it though. Or DOHA might decide it's all a bad idea. Your local division should know about this. If they don't, they need to.

Are you interested in the final version of the consultant's report that was distributed to those of us who participated in the consultation?
