I don't think that's Argus' responsibility, if people have the code and want to remove the registration requirement that's up to them. Argus is a great product and now that it's GPLed it would be hard to find a better alternative. The real commercial value in signing up for ArgusConnect is for their LDAP server. There are clearly major commercial costs in maintaining this but massive benefits for its users and they should pay for this facility. This is what I see as the benefit for going through the Argus registration process. The value of ArgusConnect will increase as the network effect kicks in and if they make a lot of money out of that I will be very pleased for them. David P.S. Ross, can you get the ArgusConnect web site back up? It's hard to enthuse others when it's broken. _______________________________________________ Gpcg_talk mailing list [email protected] http://ozdocit.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gpcg_talk
