If you doing a review of tyhe capabilities of clinical messaging clients
then why cant you say which was better?
Surely this is not prevented by confidentiality?
If so, arguably you should not have entered into such an agreement -
whats the point?
Wouldnt the vendor have agreed to allow publishing of results if you
simply threaten to walk away?

Dear All,
In the last two days there have been discussions on this list about
HUDGP's direction in relation to clinical messaging.
The HUDGP is currently finalising a review of the functionality of
clinical messaging applications and how these systems might serve our
community in the future. At this point the HUDGP is not in a position
to make a statement. Additionally in order for the HUDGP to evaluate
systems, clinical messaging vendors have provided confidential
information and intellectual property (IP) to the Division. Some
vendors have specifically prohibited the HUDGP from passing on
confidential information and IP to any other party, thus we cannot
provide details of our findings as some have requested.
Clinical messaging vendors have expended a great amount of time and
effort in working with the HUDGP and we are very grateful to them. It
is clear that the energy being directed by the vendors to clinical
messaging in this country is a positive sign for the future.
Chris.
