Re Internode & port 25. You can turn their port filtering off in your account 
page.

Apart from port 25, the filter also blocks ports related to windows network 
services. You have the option of Default or None. None puts your service back 
to how it was before the filtering came into effect.

I use Exetel as ISP. I too have 8Mbps download speed now (and measly 384 kbs 
uplink) - but I have no restrictions at all how to use it (other than now 54 
GB download limit/month, paying $3 for every GB in excess (yes, Gigabyte, not 
MB) - though they don't count downloads during the night, so all big 
downloads are scheduled during the night anyway and they are quite happy 
tolerating our 100GB/month habit

Can use any port I want any way I like on any of my 6 usable static IP 
addresses I got from them
