Dear All,

This year is going faster than usual so I wanted to give an update on
what we are doing in IM&T. Currently we are servicing 120 practices in
our region and are concentrating on making IM&T a more productive tool
for GPs. Our recent key achievements have been.

* This year over a five week period we have rolled out Medical
Objects software to 185 GPs and are sending GP Access After hours
consultation summaries electronically as phase one of a three phase
clinical messaging project.
* We have also rolled out 50 centrally managed remote access hosts
to 39 practices with 56 GPs/Practice staff using the system. A survey on
usage and benefits has been circulated so we can evaluate the trial.
* Implemented remote IT support. Approx 30% of all IM&T support
can be achieved without going on site. The remote access IT support
system has gained considerable time savings for IT personnel and enabled
IT problems to be fixed promptly maintaining business continuity in the
GP practice setting and given GPs an enhanced level of IT support.
* Have implemented over 80 managed broadband connections.
* Conducted Security audits for most of our practices.
* Rolled out IT preventative maintenance programs for GP
Practices.
* Currently executing a statement of work to specify a project to
centrally host medication management for Aged Care
* Commencing Specialist, Allied Health and Psychology messaging to
GPs.

Please feel free to call our Division if you would like further details
on the initiatives above.

Chris.
