We have Windoze for the kids on the network. Every so often the Windoze
partitions/computers have to fumigated to get rid of all the vermin.
Still any business software for me or my wife is Linux and it seems
pretty stable.

i've opted for plan b
windoze standalone for gaming in each kid's room
wireless access to an older mac ibook for web access for homework
(shared laptop)
no intercommunication - sneakernet for the windoze (or even easier to
the mac - email attachments)
