And of course the Tech support at HCN which I have found to be excellent, will happily talk you through it even all weekend and after hours. I have done this many times and it is easily learnable once you practice the routine. The time not to practice it is when you are in trouble.

I gather you are referring to a machine that is off-line when you do all this, or the original server is down anyway, then you put this machine that is 'identical' to the failed server on your network in the original's place, and all the workstations/terminals then find the restored MD3 database without re-configuration?
