National Prescribing Service (NPS) promotes the quality use of
medicines through delivery of programs and services to health
professionals and the community. With the continued growth of NPS,
our Melbourne based Pharmaceutical Decision Support team has a role
for a suitably qualified and experienced Health Informatics Project
Officer.
This exciting role will initially involve a review of decision
support in clinical software systems, followed by collaboration with
others to drive and implement sustainable strategies for improvement.
In this role, you will link the information our organisation
generates and the use of appropriate technology systems to improve
the use of medicines at a national level.
The ideal candidate will be self motivated, have project management
experience, strong communication and negotiation skills and an
interest in implementing information technology solutions. Previous
experience in a similar role and tertiary qualifications in a
relevant discipline are essential, and a background in health would
be advantageous.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (negotiable depending on qualifications and
experience)
