Well this is coming to you from my new Dell desktop running Vista.

It took me a mere 4 hours to unboxed it, move my old Dell off the desk, set
it up and using the improved file and setting transfer wizard pull all my
data and settings across.

And yes I installed Office 2003 without a single problem. But I have
yesterday upgraded to Office 2007, only cause Microsoft had already sent it
to me.

The only real drama I had was with the pre-installed McAfee's interent
security. What a heap of junk.

Replaced it with demo version of CA AV 2007 which works as it should.

The whole AV thing with Vista is a bit of a pisser which will take a few
months ore to settle down I guess.

Now 2 weeks later I have come to grips with Vista and I love my new 22" Dell
TFT. (ok so I am waiting for replacement monitor arm it was bent slighty)

Oh and I paid for 3 years support, Gold Support so I can talk to an
Australian tech when I call, worth every extra penny J

The difference between me and the numb skull with the laptop is as simple as
Peter M explained.

The other guy wanted it all for peanuts, I paid $2k for all the bells and
whistles because I wanted all the bells and whistles and no grief.

You only get what you pay for.

PS: the word we are hearing from Dell is that we will be able to order XP
PC's for quite a while yet which is good as most clinical software won't run
on Vista yet, but then you all know that don'tyou J
