Thanks Greg / Kuangie

You are too kind, since I am merely doing what Tony Eviston told me to do four years ago, Tony Lembke told me to do six months ago and what the Canning Division is showing us how to do now.

Writing simple SQL scripts is pretty easy with GUI tools such as those found in MS SQL Enterprise Manager, MS Access and for the impoverished OOo Base. The last two scripts mentioned on the list just allow us to find persons of interest. Digging out all the dirt that we want on them may involve scripts several pages long. As HCN knows, making an error in your SQL script is easy. I therefore think it would be a good idea if we could establish a repository of useful scripts.

The other thing that would be useful would be to develop a tool that records what we do as a result of these record sets (e.g. telephoned June 19th, sent request for fasting lipids, glucose, HbA1c, booked for Care Plan 21 July.) This would result in more efficient care, higher percentages reaching target and more money for GPs.

David

P.S. Anyone got a list of useful LOINC codes? I see HbA1c is 17856-6, but glucose, chols and trigs and probably a few others would be good to have somewhere.
