Now I think about it, I did something like this on the old Samba/CTDB cluster 
before we deployed CES, so it must be possible, just to what level IBM will 
support it.

I've not used CES so I don't know at what level it manages the samba 
configuration file or how easily these changes could be integrated in light of 
that.
