The is a technical role in the Research Data Services Group, part of UCL's large and well-established Research IT Services team. The Senior Data Systems Engineer leads the development of technical strategy for Research Data Services at UCL. The successful applicant will ensure that appropriate technologies and workflows are used to address research data management requirements across the institution, particularly those relating to data storage and access. The Research Data Services Group provides petabyte-scale data storage for active research projects, and is about to launch a long-term data repository service. Over the coming years, the Group will be building an integrated suite of services to support data management from planning to re-use, and the successful candidate will play an important role in the design and operation of these services. The post comes with a competitive salary and a central London working location. The closing date for applications it 2nd February.
