I have two Mac systems and both are running fully patched Mac OS 10.6.6.

Macbook (2007 model with core2 duo) has GPG 1.4.9 and GPG 2.0.17 (installed
from
the 25 Jan 2011 release of gpgtools). My keys were created under 1.4.x about 2
years ago and they work without issue with both gpg and gpg2 and related
software such as GPG Keychain Access and the GPGMail mail.app plug-in.

Mac Mini (2006 model with core duo) has the same software and the same keys,
but
the key ID as reported by gpg2 is not correct. The keys work fine with gpg
1.4.9. However, they do not work with gpg 2.0.17. For example, GPG Keychain
Access 0.8.3b shows the wrong key ID and shows "user ID not found" in the key
User ID tab.

GPGMail plugin for Mail.app 4.4 doesn't show my keys at all in the drop-down in
the message creation window. (These both worked fine before I installed the
new
gpgtools. Before this, I had the old GPG Keychain access and mail.app plugin
for gpg 1.4.9 from before this project's revival).

The output from both Mac systems for 'gpg2 --version' is:

gpg (GnuPG/MacGPG2) 2.0.17
libgcrypt 1.4.6

I even removed any files with reference to GPG that I could find and
reinstalled
both GPG 1.4.9 and GPGTools (25 Jan 2011 version). I also tried:

1. removed all files under ~/.gnupg and imported keys from fully functional
system
2. removed all files under ~/.gnupg and copied entire directory from fully
functional system

This made no difference. Importing the keys with gpg2 gave a warning/error
that
there was no user id with the key. Importing the keys with gpg1.4 produced no
errors.

Does anyone have any idea why gpg2 appears to be mangling my keys on only one
system?
